# Inline icons insert at Gutenberg?

 * Hello,
    I need to add icons (fav/dash) inside text block. All copy-past variants
   works badly, display some bugs. I’ve found only one complete instruction, but
   it also works only as another block: [https://gutenberghub.com/how-to-add-icons-in-gutenberg-without-any-plugin/](https://gutenberghub.com/how-to-add-icons-in-gutenberg-without-any-plugin/).
   So Gutenberg still does not have possibility to add fav/dash icons inside text???

 * You wouldn’t be able to do that in the default paragraph block. You could include
   all of the text plus the icon code in a custom HTML block. If the text is contained
   within `<p> </p>` tags, the block should appear just like a paragraph block on
   the front end. The main issue with custom HTML is none of the custom styling 
   options we get in a paragraph block are available. Custom styling is still possible,
   but it’d have to be manually coded.

 * Thanks for explanation.
 * But the absent of possibility at Gutenberg to insert icons in text – is a really
   outdated. Devs, add such option, please.
