# Inline editing does not work

 * Inline editing does not work in elementor paragraph fields. Header etc. fine,
   but not for paragraphs! Why? What to do??
 * The error occurs from a clean updated installation of wordpress and elementor.

    In fact, I have already tried with a support ticket. They have not solved
   the problem …

 * Exactly the same issue as [@ringsoe](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ringsoe/)
   and [@ebookdesigns](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ebookdesigns/) but on
   a free non-pro version of Elementor.
 * Would love to hear if [@saidaboukhadra](https://wordpress.org/support/users/saidaboukhadra/)
   had a fix for this bug.

 * I have the same problem. I have made a clean installation for testing. Just WordPresss
   and Elementor (free) – no plugins – nothing special. It is not possible to edit
   text inline. Here is a little video that shows the problem:

 * Found the bug. It was Elementor experimenting!
 * Go to Elementor > Settings > Experiments
    Select “Inactive” for Optimized DOM
   Output
 * Now you can edit inline again.
