Inline directions stopped working

    Hi,

    Somewhere between versions 2.48.7 and 2.50.10, the inline directions functionality got lost, despite there is still “Directions” setting with two options “Google” and “Inline”. Even if I select “Inline”, whenever I hit “Get directions” button (or just swap source and destination addresses), new window with Google Maps opens.

    Was this functionality removed on purpose?

    I confirm, directions don’t display inline but in a _blank new page.
    Not so good for rebound rate and SEO…

    Hi,

    The ‘inline directions’ setting now controls the presentation of an inline form to enter from/to locations (vs taking the user directly to Google). However, the step-by-step directions panel was removed and directions now come directly from Google. The original panel was of limited use, since it could only be printed. Using Google’s site enables additional features that are not available to the maps API, and more importantly it also allows immediate turn-by-turn directions on mobile devices.

    Personally, I would have preferred an option to stay fully inline…
