Initial Import worked but new podcasts not automatically importing

    I used the plugin to successfully import exisitng podcasts, and noticed that there was a new one that didn’t import automatically so I manually imported it and checked the import settings, but now there are more posts and they haven’t automatically been imported either.

    I’m not sure what I’ve got wrong, I thought I definitely had all the scheduled import options right after the first time.

    Post Status: Published

    Import Episode Featured Images (checked)
    Use an embed audio player instead of the default WordPress player (checked)

    Advanced Options: Imported Content Tag: description
    Truncate Post Content: 0

    Append Episode Number to Post Title (not checked)

    Prepend Title (blank)

    Hi @dallasbnyc,

    Thanks for using our plugin and for reaching out!

    Just to confirm – have you also checked the box for “Continuous Import”?
    If not, future episodes would not be imported so it must be checked.

    As for importing new episodes, note that it might take up to one hour for new episodes to appear. I just tried to import your podcast feed and it seems to work perfectly.

    The “Ongoing Import” check box in the “Import a Podcast” section is not currently checked, but it was checked when I imported it – if it hadn’t been then it wouldn’t show up under “Scheduled Imports” right?

    The two most recent podcasts have been posted over the course of the last week (I had been hoping that it was just a matter of it having not synched *yet* but I think I’ve outwaited that possibility 🙂 )

    And yes, the initial import works perfectly, and I’ll just manually tell it to import the missing ones for now but the site owner would really like it to automatically update going forward if possible so I’d like to get it all set for them.

    Oh I see – yeah if the feed appears under the “Scheduled Imports” section you should be good to go.

    Since this is already a scheduled import, it should work flawlessly.
    It could be possible that the website is having issues with Cron tasks not being executed. I would recommend checking this with your web host and see if they notice anything.

    You can also use the “WP Crontrol” plugin to check the scheduled Cron task and see if it’s running or not.

    I am having the same issue. The scheduled Cron task appears in WP Crontrol, but new podcast episodes are not being imported.

    @gregnycdev, as mentioned in our email exchange – we’ve tested your feed with the scheduled cron task and it seemed to work fine. Please check that with your server/hosting company and let us know if you find out anything on that end.
