When I first setup my website, all email was being delivered to users’ junk mail folder.

So, I setup Easy WP SMTP to work with Office 365 via the instructions found here (Option 1): https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn554323(v=exchg.150).aspx

I set it up to deliver emails from bryan@biomediusa.com, and was able to successfully send test e-mails via the Easy WP SMTP dashboard to bryan@nohvy.com without it going to the junk folder.

The next test was to create a user at biomediusa.com. After doing this, the email notification containing the password was delivered from bryan@biomediusa.com. However, it went to the junk mail folder for bryan@nohvy.com

All initial emails containing login information are always delivered to users’ junk mail folder. Order update emails are delivered without a problem. It’s only this initial email that causes problems.

I own both domains in question: biomediusa.com & nohvy.com. I’ve already troubleshooted with my hosting provider, WPEngine and my email provider, Office365. They suggested trying to force rich format for all email sent via the website, since the test email was RTF format. Can you please let me know how to do that with this plugin?

  • Hi, The plugin does not really have any control over whether or not it will go to user’s junk folder. It depends on the email service that is receiving the email from your address.
