 * I have a small feature idea for Cooked: adding an optional notes box to the Ingredients
   and Nutrition Facts sections.
 * For example, in Ingredients, we could use it to explain things like cup measurements
   being different for liquid and dry ingredients, or add a quick substitution tip.
   For Nutrition Facts, it could be useful for things like warning people with diabetes
   or suggesting ways to replace an ingredient to make the recipe healthier or fit
   a specific diet.
 * Or even better, if you could provide a separate shortcode for these notes, it
   would give us more flexibility to arrange and style them based on our website’s
   design.

 * Hey [@nwm2006](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nwm2006/), Thanks for the
   suggestion but I think a lot of this is already in Cooked unless you mean something
   different.
 * Recipes already have a Notes field (on the Layout & Content tab). You can use
   it for measurement tips, substitutions, diabetes warnings, or diet notes. It
   has its own shortcode:
 *     ```wp-block-code
       [cooked-notes][cooked-notes show_header=true]
       ```
 * Put that shortcode wherever you want in the Recipe Template – right after `[cooked-
   ingredients]` or `[cooked-nutrition]` if you want it next to those sections.
   You can also style it with `.cooked-recipe-notes`.
 * Also make sure Notes is enabled under Recipes → Settings → Global Recipe Toggles,
   or the shortcode will not output.
 * For swaps, Cooked already supports ingredient substitutions. In the ingredient
   builder, use the swap icon on an ingredient and enter the alternate amount, unit,
   and name. It displays inline as “or …” and scales with servings. That is the
   right place for “use X instead of Y” type of situations.
 * If you have Cooked Pro, two more pieces help:
    - Ingredient descriptions – a short note on a specific ingredient (e.g. that
      a cup of flour is packed vs sifted).
    - Restricted Diets – you can tag recipes as Diabetic, Low Calorie, Low Fat,
      Vegan, Gluten Free, etc.
 * Nutrition facts also have their own shortcode, `[cooked-nutrition]`, so you can
   place and style that independently too.
 * Dedicated notes boxes _inside_ the Ingredients and Nutrition sections (as separate
   fields) are not something we have today. For most of the examples you listed,
   Notes + substitutions (+ Pro descriptions/diets) should get you there.
 * Let me know if this helps or if you still have something different in mind.
 * You are absolutely right! Strangely I didn’t know about swap option in ingredients!
   This is a fantastic feature.
 * I changed the status to resolved
