[Information Request] – Partial Payment / Deposit’s

    Hey guys, wondering if any one could assist me with some information.

    I am currently setting up a website for a good friend of mine, she run her own beauty salon.

    I’m looking in to using WooCommerce + bookly + (undetermined POS front end) as her EPOS system, I have used the plugin before and love it for its simplicity and feature rich content!

    With this particular site however I’m running in to new ground when it comes to payments.

    For the most part WooCommerce + Bookly + the POS front end will be able to handle most what we require (as detailed below).

    What I need help with is the second stage from scenarios 1 and 2.
    where as a deposit payment has already been taken, and a further payment is then being taken to complete the transaction.

    Q1: Does Woo natively support split payments of this kind ?
    Q2: How would we go about implementing this kind of multiple transaction for the same order/service ?

    Assuming Q1 is No: are there any recommended plugins for Woo that allow for this type of transaction ?

    Description of how the payments will work:

      Notes:

    • Payments online can only be taken via PayPal or Card (Sage Pay).
    • Payments in store can be taken via Cash, PayPal or Card (Sage Pay).
    • All Payments must be ran through Woo
      Scenario 1:

    1. Customer books a treatment slot online and pay’s a 50% deposit
    2. Customer attends appointment at specified date/time and completes the transaction by paying the outstanding 50% of the treatment cost.
      Scenario 2:

    1. Customer walks in to center books treatment pays deposit
    2. Customer returns to center at specified date/time, complete transaction with remainder of payment.

    1. Customer walks in to center books treatment pays in full

    Additional Information:
    All in store payments are required to go through an EPOS system, idealy integrated in to woo.

    Additional Question:

    I have just come across your own extention: WooCommerce Deposits.

    could I please ask for details on how inovices/orders are handled when taking multipul payments.
    Would this be able to be intergrated with an POS plugin for example (WooCommerce Point of Sale (POS) by actualityextensions)

    As idealy we would like to be able to from the EPOS machine look up the clients order and then complete the transaction.

    Better explanation on how Stage 1/2 will work:

    • Our website that runs a booking form for our services, that clients can book a date and time and then pay a deposit for that service (payments handled by WooCommerce)
    • Upon the client attending their session our receptionist via a POS system (idealy integrated with Woo) will bring up the customers details and current order/s, find the current partialy paid for order and then complete the order by taking the remainder of the payment.
