"info atoms"? why are they and how to get rid of…

I have noticed lately, not just everywhere else on the web, but on my own site, these “info atoms” that pop up…sometimes when I type something in my own search engine window on my site, or worse, they come from hyperlinks within my blog articles that I have not placed there! I assume I must have some plug-in that is to blame? what is it and how do I get rid of it? and what else would I lose if I get rid of it? Some of these pop-ups have NOTHING to do with the message I am conveying, and it is annoying and too much…
