I have the problem with a site that I get the error “Uncaught ReferenceError: infiniteScroll is not defined” and inifitescroll not working.
checking the source I see that var infiniteScroll is defined after infinity.min.js is included (both in the footer)

jetpack/modules/infinite-scroll/infinity.php Line 464 adds the action to wp_footer changing it to wp_head fixed the problem for me since the infinitescroll variable is now defined in header instead of footer (so its available when infinity.min.js is loaded)

is this an oversight / regression? happens with Version 8.9

    Hi there,

What is the URL of your site – in particular, what theme are you using? I would reach out to the theme developer regarding this error, as it is something they will probably need to address on their end. It will most likely be out of the scope of support.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,
