Support » Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com » Infinite scroll on shop page in Storefront theme for WooCommerce

I’m trying to enable the Jetpack Infinite Scroll feature on the Shop Page in WooCommerce. The theme I’m using is Storefront by WooThemes.

By default the shop page loads the products in a 3-column design. While reaching the bottom of the page, infinite scroll loads more products but does it in a single-column design with large images and product description texts. Also the products loaded by infinite scroll repeats products already displayed.

This is on a standard WordPress(4.5.2) install with only Jetpack(4.0.3) and Woocommerce(2.5.5) plugins active. Storefront theme version is 2.0.3. Everything is a standard basic install with no custom code.

How do I get infinite scroll to append more products to the shop page in the standard 3-column fashion?

Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

This is a local install but I’ll set it up public asap.

Since you sent us a private email, we’ll reply there very soon!

Until then, I would strongly recommend that you change your password immediately. It’s also best if you avoid posting account credentials on public forums again, even if your site is still local.

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

Thought that, since the URL is unknown (for others) and is also just set up only for this support occasion, it was safe.

I’m also ok to continue support on this thread if it would be of any value to others.

    Hi again!

I didn’t get much help at the support so I’m posting the site here if you could have a look.

That’s most likely because your theme loads a specific loop, rendering single posts, instead of loading the loop rendering single products. That’s something that should be changed in the theme itself, so I’d suggest opening a new forum thread here:

Feel free to post the link here once you created the thread; I’ll subscribe to the thread and will chime in if needed!

    Ok, thanks!

Opened up an issue on Storefronts GitHub repo. https://github.com/woothemes/storefront/issues/465

Perhaps I can link or embed this thread in the issue.
