 * I thought I could set the background for an individual post if I wanted –
    I’m
   using 3.8 and twenty fourteen theme with sidebars .. I want to be able to set/
   modify the post background color for each post I used the options provided on
   the post edit page …
 * I tried an image set with no images and set the image set background to the color
   I wanted and selected it for the post .. but no over-ride?
 * I tried the set short code within the post but that only changes the whole site
   background
    thks in advance for guidance on this … I couldn’t find any relevant
   topics in the forum

 * Yes, you should be able to do this by editing the page or post, and using the“
   Background” selection. There should be no need for shortcodes to activate this.
 * Do you have any sample URLs where the background / colour should be active, but
   is not?
