Individual Images Side by Side

    Hello, I need to insert into the post a couple of images from different posts, so I cannot use the Gallery feature, but the Media Library insert, and the images are placed one under the other, there is no way for me to insert one and then another one on the same row. Same happens with text.

    How do I get around this?

    Of course, you can. Just float them all in the same direction.

    You can do things like [gallery id="123"] to retrieve galleries from different posts. But besides that, you have total control over the styling of your page – if your CSS displays images in such a way that images are shown in separate rows, you need to change the styling. Big topic, if you’re looking for specific help you should give us a link to a post where the image styling is going wrong for you.

    I find most of the “help” in WordPress incomprehensible.
    So I bought two books, but not sure they’ll help either.
    Anyway does v. 2.6.2 have a Gallery function? For many reasons, I will not upgrade to newer versions of WordPress. I would love to post Galleries rather than link to ones I’ve established elsewhere on the Web. But all I get is Media Library and I don’t see any way to create a Gallery on a post from the Media Library. I uploaded 3 images to my most recent post but don’t see any Gallery tab.

    Proud to say I found the gallery tab. I’m happier. Another question: how does one create a Table of Contents so that users can see title/date/category of each post?
