Indic Transliteration

    I have uploaded “indic” folder downloaded from WordPress to wp-plugin folder and activated it from dashboard. But I am still not able to type any thing in indian languages. Drop down menu shows English and other languages.Indian languages are not appearing in the list.
    Will some one please advise me what to do to set it right.

  • I am a newbie as well. After trying with several plugins I succeeded with INDIC-IME. Download it (zip) from WordPress plugins list (search for it).

    Go to Dashboard > Plugins > Add new.
    Upload the Zip file as it is. It will install automatically.
    Then Activate it, using the link in the same window.

    Go back to Dashboard > Settings. At the bottom you will see Indic-IME. Click and select the language you want.
    Compose your post in that language. It worked for Telugu.
