[Resolved] index.php?feed= [vs.] ?feed=

  • browser:IE7
problem: page not found when clicking on ‘feed’ or ‘comments’ link

I’ve noticed that this occurs when you click on a link that is formatted as: “feed:http://sitename/?feed=rss2

I’ve also noticed that if I type in the link differently, I can get it to work as: “feed:http://sitename/index.php?feed=rss2

Basically, by typing in ‘index.php’ before the ‘?’, allows the feed to be displayed. Any workarounds for WordPress to globally handle this?

Thanks in advance, keep up the good work!

  • remove “feed:” from the URLs?

Actually, I ended up doing just that. Turns out that my issue is actually a well known “feed: ” issue that has been discussed here before.

    To fix:
edit “\wp-content\themes\ThemeName\header.php” and remove the “feed:” from the beginning of the two links.

My apologies to the support community for this hasty post.
