• I cannot find any solution to removing the index.php from my permalinks structure? I’m on an Apache server and have added a .htaccess file saved-as “all files” and still it returns a “404” not found error when I remove the index.php from the string. http://rentals-oahu.com running a child theme. Permalink structure /%postname%/
There are other WP sites on the same server that do not have this issue.
    Help please!

  • That’s weird,
That usually doesn’t happen with Apache servers.
Have you tried changing the theme to see if perhaps there’s something built in the theme?
Or maybe one of your plugins is causing havoc?

It has to be the theme, Weblizar Enigma, but so far nothing I have tried (including how they say to structure the permalinks) works and they (Weblizar) are shameful in how they do not support their products.
Moving to another theme may be the only option, but would like to save it if possible so any direction is appreciated.
