# Index.php not loading WordPress

 * I’m having a problem with WordPress’ index.php not auto loading when I go to 
   the domain name that I have WordPress setup on. Currently I have an index.html
   that redirects to index.php.
 * I found this solution [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/main-site-not-loading-through-indexphp](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/main-site-not-loading-through-indexphp)
   but it’s not working for me and also I’m on a Windows server and I believe the.
   htaccess file is for Linux?
 * Any help would be appreciated thanks.

 * .htaccess is for Unix-based systems, yes.
 * IIS uses a web.config file instead of htaccess.
