I noticed that I had two index files in my root, index.php and index.js
I do not know how the last one came in the root and where it is used for.
Can it be placed there by a plugin? Can anybody explain that please?
I know it is used by Java. that is all I know.

I suppose it could have been placed there by a plugin.

To be honest, the best way to find out would be download a copy of it, then delete the file from your server and see if anything breaks.
