    The Website in question is…
    http://ThankYouPhotoCards.org

    When I visit the index page I receive a redirect error message.
    ==================================
    This webpage has a redirect loop
    The webpage at http://thankyouphotocards.org/ has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.
    Here are some suggestions:
    Reload this web page later.
    Learn more about this problem.
    Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.
    ==================================
    I have checked with Blue Host who I am using as the host for this project. No trouble was identified on there side.

    I have also taken the time to rename the Plugins folder to old to see if it may be a Plugins issue. After renaming the Plugins directory the issues continued.

    I am able to access all deep level links to the site.
    EXAMPLE: http://thankyouphotocards.org/thank-you-cards/wedding-thank-you-cards

    Previous to doing upgrades on the site yesterday I was able to access the index page of the site without a problem.

    Can you advise me as to what is taking place? Thanks for your help.

    – Are you using some plugins for redirects? If yes, try deactivating them.

    – if the issue persists, review this thread

    Everyone seemed to point to plugins for this issue but that was not where the problem was at.

    The issue dealt with adding a custom permalink and has now been resolved.

    The solution here involved Permalinks.

    Here is a note I sent to my peer for the resolution. As you can see it remains a mystery why it was resolved this way, but the bottom line is that http://thankyouphotocards.org/ is now working correctly.

    ===================
    Strange….

    This is what you added:
    /%category%/%postname%

    This is what your manual says to add:
    %category%/%postname%

    As you can see they are exactly the same minus the leading “/” which is automatically added when I select update.

    The site is working now though it was not working previously. I’m really not sure what changed but I’m glad it did. Thanks for your help.
