Index Page not coming up as home page

    Hi everybody – I am a total noob with wordpress, so would appreciate if you can point me in the right direction please.
    I have installed WP on server and am playing with the site.
    I have tried several themes and I don’t know if that is the source of my problem.
    I currently have OceanWP as my theme and am using Elementor for editing.
    It all seems ok,
    I have also set up as static page home page

    There’s no index.html in WordPress. The homepage is http://resii.com.au/

    Weird, just went to the link again and saw a different page.

    Sorry I tried to turn off static page to see if it made a difference.
    I don’t understand that? How would I correct this?
    If I type in resii.com.au I am getting http://resii.com.au/index.html

    Ok the site’s appearing fine for me now, but I don’t get redirected to index.html. Did you used to have an index.html in the root directory of your site? It’s possible your browser has saved an autocomplete or redirect for index.html from when you used to have it.
