index of / problem with online hosting

    when I finish setup my website locally I hosted online , but I face a problem after I upload my site , page displays with ( index of / ) I think this because I have to change my directory on my website wordpress but I don’t how , or there is another solution for this , please help !

    Do you still have the site running in localhost? If so, follow this guide to move it: https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Changing_Your_Domain_Name_and_URLs

    I have been working on my website timyoung.ca but have had to navigate past the initial page with “index of” and “wordpress” below it when I type my URL. After trying to move the wordpress file out of my index.html folder, I am unable to now enter the administration. Oops.

    When I look at my public_html folder, I initially see—

    folder
    folder-wordpress

    When I open the wordpress folder, I get—

    file-wp-comm…
    file-wp-config…
    file-wp-config…

    If I could untangle my files so I go directly to my website it would be
    much appreciated.
