Index and search shortcode contents – not works for Woocommerce?

    Hello,

    I’m experiencing an issue with the “Index and search shortcode contents” functionality of the Ivory Search plugin, specifically concerning WooCommerce products. It appears this feature isn’t working as expected for product descriptions.

    I have configured the following:

    • The “Expand shortcodes before indexing” option is enabled.
    • The “Inverted index search engine” is selected in the form settings.

    However, when I try to search for a keyword that is generated by a shortcode within a product description, the search does not return the product.

    Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?

    Could you please tell me exactly which plugin is generating the shortcode and what is functionality of the shortcode?

    Does that shortcode work fine If you add it in the content area of the product?

    Hello,

    It is my custom plugin. It generates HTML list of compatible motorcycle models for the products. The shortcode works fine on the frontend.

    Does that shortcode content gets searched If you add it in the content area of the product?

    Also, please use any WooCommerce shortcode and check whether the content of it gets searched on your website.

    It seems the shortcode specific issue as not every shortcode output is generated before the plugin indexes its content.
