Independent Search Function?

Hey guys so I’m sorry if this question has been asked a million times, but I’ve researched a lot now and I can’t seem to find what I am looking for.

Basically I am looking to have a search function with pre-filled drop down boxes on a certain part of my site. The drop downs would be filled with different tags. (I am running eshop and have a tags plugin loaded so that I can tag the individual pages.)

I have a small search box at the top of my page that I would like to leave unchanged, which is why I am searching for something independent? I will admit I am somewhat of a n00b and some of the stuff I read is rather confusing to me but I am trying to understand.

If all you need is a drop down with the tags then you can create a form and generate that list as seen here.

You will need to adjust the form based on whether you want there to be a “go” type of button or just go to the tag archive right as one is selected.
