    Where’s your Child Theme?

    Didn’t create it yet. I suppose it would be wise to make one.

    Now I’ve created a new folder inside Themes folder and created style.css that imports the style from the parent (e.g. Twenty Eleven’s style.css)

    What to do to change things the way I’ve dsecribed above?

    Increase the width of the theme;

    #page {
     max-width: 1300px;
    }

    ??

    in style.css?

    In your Child Theme style.css file.

    There is something wrong. I created the child theme and imported the styles from parent. Hovever, the design is all broken now.

    Your website is trying to load this;

    http://fotodomen.byethost7.com/wp-content/themes/TwentyEleven_child/ftp.byethost7.com/htdocs/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/style.css

    What is the contents of your Child Theme style.css file?

    @charset "utf-8";
    /* CSS Document */

    /*
    Theme Name:     Twenty Eleven Child
    Theme URI:
    Description: Child theme for the Twenty Eleven theme
    Author:         Domen Ulbl
    Author URI:
    Template:       twentyeleven
    Version:        0.1.0
    */

    @import url("ftp.byethost7.com/htdocs/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/style.css");

    Instead of this;

    @import url("ftp.byethost7.com/htdocs/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/style.css");

    Try this;

    @import url("../twentyeleven/style.css");
