Not only does SmartCrawl made it so easy to accomplish the core tasks I needed to get my website seen on search engines, such as creating a sitemap, editing robot.txt without having to go through the web server file manager, and creating permanent 301 redirects for pages that were poorly named by the person who originally built the site.

Secondly, the SEO analysis turned out to be a wonderful tutorial for me. I learned so much from reading the suggestions and then trying to complete each task. The request to create a focus keyword phrase helped me see writing for SEO in a whole new way.

My only request would be to explain which text was used in calculating the readability score for each page.

On one page the readability score was only 39. I pasted the text into an online readability calculator that uses the Flesch-Kincaid Test and a couple of others, and my score was 63.

    Hi @lonshapiro

    I hope you’re well today!

First of all, you say it’s an incredible plugin and I say: it’s an incredible review! Thank you very much for such an informative and nice feedback and for 5-start rating!

As for your question about readability score, it’s actually Flesch-Kincaid. There might, however, be slight differences comparing to other tools because there might be differences between these tools in the way they read content – whether they only read “content” part (e.g. just post/article) or entire page, how they handle HTML of/in the content and so on, how is syllable count determined and similar aspects.

    Best regards,
    Adam
