 * Two past days I got increased traffic to my site. Somethng is happening bad?

   Screeshot [http://prntscr.com/c2g8p1](http://prntscr.com/c2g8p1)
 * No advertisement posted, no special post at facebook. Suddenly increased enomously.
How to stop that? Maybe somebody wants to harm my SEO?

 * Unless you are having ill effects from getting increased traffic, what is the
   problem exactly?

 * Thank you for answer.
 * As you can see traffic increased enomously in past two days, its not normal.
I see connections from all over the world. I sell my facilities only in my country,
but I see connections from Egypt, Japan, Russia. I had previously up to 50 visitors,
now I see 170. I guess its not normal, all these new visitors visit my site about
   2 seconds long.

 * In general, if you see no ill effects, you haven’t been hacked. Perhaps some
people *really* want to visit your site, perhaps it’s a botnet targeting your
site (search bots, content archivers, maybe malicious bots).
 * If you’re keeping regular backups, you can easily roll back any damage: [https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups](https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups)
 * Try to think of your site as a physical store. If suddenly thousands of people
want to visit, that’s pretty cool, right? Maybe they’re only staying in the shop
for 2 seconds, but what are you going to do about it, greet them at the door
and tell them they’re only allowed to enter if they stay longer? As long as no
one’s stealing anything, it’s all good, and you just got a massive infusion of
   potential customers.
 * As always, make sure you’re using a strong password [https://howsecureismypassword.net](https://howsecureismypassword.net)
is pretty great for peace of mind on that, and additionally we have a few recommended
   security measures: [https://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress](https://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress)
 * Now, perhaps this really has you bothered and scared. That’s ok, while I’d rather
play “good cop” and say “You should be proud of all of this new traffic, congratulations!”
I’d really prefer you to enjoy having your site around in the first place and
not worry about every blip of traffic. So, perhaps you feel your site only has
services to offer to people in your country, [https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordfence/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordfence/)
has a paid service which makes it easy to block traffic from entire countries.
The web is a global thing, this kind of goes against that principle, but if you
feel you need this, the option does exist.
