Increased resource usage and processes run post 5.02

Hello Short Pixel,
Our web host provider (A2) saw a spike in resource usage in our 3 websites starting on 6/16 which resulted in shutting down the sites with 503 error message.

After much testing we determined that the common thread on the 3 websites was the Short Pixel Image Optimization plugin update on 6/16. That plugin was disable on all 3 sites and usage came down immediately. We’re still checking, testing, and running deep scans all sites to look for all possibilities, so I can’t say with certainty that the source was this plugin and the 5.0.2 update. But I do put it out there for you to run your own tests.
