Increase width of template

  • Hi,

    I am trying to edit a theme’s css and want to expand width of post section (left part). So readers can enjoy reading content more widely.

    My site is www dot techmoody dot com

    How would i do this?

    Thanks.

    want to expand width of post section

    do you want to shrink the sidebar? or increase the total width?

    try to work with a browser inspection tool (Firebug; or ‘right-click’ ‘inspect element’ …) to figure out where the individual widths are set.

    I want to increase the total width and I am not that familiar with those tools. I can edit basic css etc. Please help 🙂

    the procedure is very basic and very tedious:

    – go through style.css line-by-line, and increase every value of width (which is about 1000px or as low as 600px) by the same absolute amount;

    if you want to expand the post section by 100px, add 100px to each of those width values….

    if you gone through the process and there are still some odd alignments, try working with the browser tools (they might take a bit to get familiar with) or post here again.

    Can you do the edits or changes on my css and give back to me so I can just reu pload the whole file. I don’t know how to edits
