increase the file upload size

  • Hi,

    I’m trying to increase the file upload size.
    I already found some help about this topic here in this forum and could changed the upload size in the php.ini file and i’m now able to upload files around 30MB. Actually i would like to upload bigger files.

    Changes in the php.ini file i did:

    file_uploads = On
    ;upload_tmp_dir =
    upload_max_filesize = 250M
    memory_limit = 100M
    post_max_size = 100M

    I have fully access to the webserver (Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 with PHP v5.3).

    Can anyone please help me?

  • Any ideas?

    What isn’t working? Is it timing out? What size does WordPress say you can upload? Is the 30MB figure from the WordPress UI or is it an approximation from your own testing? What does phpinfo() tell you for post_max_size and upload_max_filesize?

    WordPress says that i should be able to upload files about 100MB like i did define in the php.ini file. This 30MB is an apporixmation from my own testing. When i try to upload a file from 34MB with the flash uploader i get an “Http error” without any other information. When i try to upload the same file with the browser uploader i get the error:
    “404 – File or directory not found The resource may have been removed or renamed or is temporarily unavailable.”.

    phpinfo() results:
    upload_max_filesize 250M 250M
    post_max_size 100M 100M
    precision 14 14

    thanks for your help

    Any clues in the server error logs?

    In the PHP-errorlog i can’t find an entry caused by the failed upload.
    or did you meant another server-log?

    How about the IIS or Apache log?

    I tried to upload a file (testPDF.pdf) 09:57 but couldn’t find an entry.

    Here the log:
