Increase container width

    Hello. Can someone tell me how I can widen the width of my overall site from 960px while maintaining the responsiveness? I read one post that said to do this in the child theme:

    #container {
    width: 1300px !important
    }

    But that did not increase the width at all. URL is http://www.idlprecision.com/new/
