Hi there,

I took a back-up of my website and I see too many back-ups created for one file (uploads). My question is two-fold if you can assist me, a) why so many files created at once and b) which one is the actual file that I would need to upload in case i need to restore my site.

Hi,

Yes, UpdraftPlus split the backup files into smaller parts and by default it is set to 400mb. This can be changed in the UpdraftPlus “Settings” tab > Show expert settings > Archive split size.

If you want to restore the uploads backup, you should upload all upload backup file and and restore it.

Every split upload of backup files is an entity of the same backup.

I hope it will be helpful to you.
