    I have the correct timezone selected in my General Settings, i.e. UTC time is 2013-04-30 13:09:45 Local time is 2013-04-30 14:09:45, but on my website the time displays as Tuesday, April 30, 2013 13:09. Can anyone tell my why it does not display the London time set in the settings?

    The coding used on the header where it is displayed is:
    setlocale(LC_ALL, WPLANG);
    echo strftime("%A, %B %d, %Y %H:%M");

    If I need to change this display the correct time can someone please tell me exactly what it should say? I have very limited html knowledge so need to be spoon fed here please.

    What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

    The theme is Lavinya Black and I just downloaded it through WordPress.

    That is a very old theme (4 years old, to be precise) so it may not be compatible with the current version of WordPress and may no longer be supported by its developer. I would strongly recommend that you switch to a more recent theme. Try using http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/tag-filter/ to search for a black, 2-column theme
