# Incorrect password/admin after changing

 * I am having a HUGE fight with trying to access our website from the backend …
   the lady that did that has left so I have taken it over … this is the story:
 * She left a admin handover document which had a the following information had 
   the user name and password but it does not match when I try and login – saying
   the password is incorrect – I then do the whole ‘lost your password’ thing – 
   I reset the pasword and try again but it still says it is incorrect – also, the
   user name in the handover document and the user name that comes in the email 
   is not the same so I have tried the new password under both user names … 🙁
 * Now I cannot even try and access it as I get an error saying “you do not have
   effiecient permission to access this site”
 * This is my company’s website so if anyone could help me … in lamens terms please,

 * *Cap in hand* I have NO idea what you mean by FTP or PHPMyAdmin … 🙁
 * But reading through the link I am going to say that I can’t risk the PHPMyAdmin…
   not with a comapny site … can you imagine?
 * And with the FTP I need to actually log into the site to change the password …
   which obviously I can’t do …
 * Just to recap – the user name that automatically comes up with accessing the 
   backend link is ‘x’ but when recieving the reset your password link the email
   says the user is ‘y’

 * No you don’t. FTP is completely separate from WordPress.
 * It appears that your hosts support CPanel, a web based hosting management tool.
   Your former admin may have left you log in details for that too. You should be
   able to log in to CPanel and set up an FTP account or reset an FTP password if
   there are already existing accounts. If you don’t have your CPanel log in details,
   contact your hosts.
 * Once done, armed with your new FTP details, use something like [FileZilla](http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_FileZilla)
   to access your WordPress installation. From there you should be able to follow
   the _Resetting Your Password_ advice pointed out by Andrew.
