Hey @ishan639,
Thank you for reaching out.
I opened up the 4 links you’ve added, but I can’t see any redirect for any of those 4, they open up with a 200 OK without being redirected. If Semrush is saying differently, I’d recommend reaching out to them to ask what they see on their end.
Dear team,
I wrote to semrush team about this. They also confirmed that pages are opening up with 200 code and they are checking the site audit report.
I also checked my website using screaming frog and found all pages are opening up with 200 code.
But author pages are showing 301 redirection. Is it ok or should i need to take any action?
@ishan639 Can you please provide us with an example URL of one of those showing 301 redirect?
Also, are those returning 301 redirect contained in the sitemap?
No those pages are not included in XML sitemap.
example URL: https://bluetreeweb.com/author/cruiseman/
Hi @ishan639
The reason why you have noticed the 301 redirects for author archive page is that you have disabled the Author archives within the Yoast SEO > Search Appearance > Archives (tab) > and you have set Author archives as Off.
Once it’s set as Off, the author archive page will be redirected to the homepage and those author URLs won’t be included within the sitemap. So it’s expected behavior with Semrush reporting these author pages as 301, as you have set to turn off the Author archives.
