 * Hi, when you enter on a portfolio item, it shows the menu ‘BLOG’ highlighted
   instead of the one in wich the portfolio is created.
 * Yo can see it here:
 * Portfolio item: [http://www.lumoo.es/portfolio/barros/](http://www.lumoo.es/portfolio/barros/)(
   you can see the highligted menu is ‘BLOG’ but the portfolio item is created under
   the ‘PERSONAL’ page: [http://www.lumoo.es/personal/](http://www.lumoo.es/personal/)
 * It shouldn’t be ‘PERSONAL’ highligted instead of ‘BLOG’?
 * Thanks.
    Luismi.

 * First, the portfolio you are using is not ours, its the theme’s own function.
 * Second a portfolio item just works as a post, when you open a post page WP assumes
   it a blog post.
 * send wp-admin and ftp access to [wp@nimble3.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/incorrect-menu-structure/wp@nimble3.com?output_format=md)
   we will see what we can do for you.

 * _Just a little sidebar:_
 * [@nimble3](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nimble3/)? Anyway I can convince
   you to refrain from asking for ftp and/or admin access? While sometimes that
   may be required, it really needs to be a last resort.
 * I get that you’re the plugin author (and honestly, much thanks for providing
   that support) but it’s really discouraged asking like that. I’d appreciate it
   if you could save that for _after_ you’ve gone through walking people through
   support.
 * _And now back to our regular scheduled support program…_

 * I think I just missed a couple smileys at the end of sentences, and the word
   please before “Send” word 🙂
 * I would appreciate if you could tell me the question (which you think I should
   have asked) before asking for admin access? 🙂

 * Smileys are good and I hope you get the intention of my asking. It’s all good.
   😀

 * Well something like this as an example would be good IMHO:
 * >  _[@luismi](https://wordpress.org/support/users/luismi/) Sanchez_ Have you
   > tried another theme to see if you can reproduce the problem you are having
   > with your current theme? Have you read through this page and tried the [usage instructions](http://www.nimble3.com/nimble-portfolio-free-filterable-jquery-porfolio-wordpress-plugin/)?
   > From that page here are some Usage instructions.
    1. Add portfolio item types under the ‘portfolio’ tab in dashboard such as web,
       mobile, graphics etc.
    2. Add new portfolio items using custom post type under the tab ‘Portfolio’.
    3. Add item title (keep it short), add description, then item type – video or image.
    4. Then upload featured image from the far right bottom box. Once the image is
       uploaded first copy the generated URL from the field ‘Link URL’ then hit ‘use
       as featured image’ link at the bottom, then close the window. Paste the copied
       URL in the input field ‘image/video url’ on the left.
    5. Specify a live URL for your project in the input field ‘portfolio url’.
 * Those instructions may help you use the Filterable jQuery Portfolio Plugin and
   if you have any more problems please reply here.
 * Or something like that, that’s just a suggestion. Or maybe something more concise
   and abstract. I tend to type a lot. 😉
 * _I’m not admonishing you and I really hope you don’t take it that way._ It’s
   just that this is a self-help forum and requesting IDs and passwords really needs
   to be save for last if at all.

 * I can understand what your are saying Jan 🙂
 * If you look at other threads which we answered you can find that most of the
   time we have gone through with “suggest and work or not” method.
 * But usually we have found that if we have the access, we can investigate/debug
   the code ourselves and find the problem point very quickly. Saving the time of
   both us and our plugin users.
 * I hope you and everyone understand my point 🙂

 * Then please do not do it here. Contact the poster directly if you must. – although,
   personally, we usually ask posters to contact _us_ when we need access to troubleshoot
   a plugin issue.

 * We didn’t ask the poster to metion his access details here (on the thread), we
   always ask our user to send the access by email (wp@nimble3.com)

 * I do appreciate the distinction but we have had problems with less ethical forum
   members using this approach – which is why we tend to intervene when we spot
   such posts. FWIW, when someone has an issue with the eShop plugin that we need
   to examine “onsite” (as it were), we usually post something like:
 * > We really need access to your site to troubleshoot this problem further. If
   > you wish us to help, please contact us directly. You can find our contact details
   > in my profile (click on my name).
 * The contact details actually lead to two possible contact forms on our sites.
   So the poster has the chance to “look us over” first before deciding whether
   or not we can be trusted. 🙂

 * Nice Approach! 🙂
 * [@luismi](https://wordpress.org/support/users/luismi/) Sanchez, We really need
   access (wp-admin) to your site to troubleshoot this problem further. If you wish
   us to help, please contact us directly. You can find our contact details in our
   profile, Thanks.
