[resolved] Incorrect feed URLS (3 posts)

    For all of my clients' sites, I install WordPress in a directory in the site root.

    This plugin is working correctly for the most part, however, for the RSS feed url and the itunes subscription urls, it is including my wp directory in the path, which breaks the links to the feeds.

    For generating the feed urls in the template(s), it should use "get_home_url", not "get_site_url".

    Example in the layout-podcast.php template:
    $feed_url = trailingslashit( get_site_url() ) . '?feed=podcast';
    ..which does not work.

    $feed_url = trailingslashit( get_home_url() ) . '?feed=podcast';
    .. which does work.

    I've fixed this in my theme's layout-podcast.php template, but just a heads up in case anyone has this issue with WordPress running in a directory, and are trying to use the default templates.

    The "Share" links in admin are also affected by the above issue (they include the directory). Unfortunately, this is not something that can be fixed by a template edit. So it makes sharing the podcast feed url a bit difficult.

    I'm guessing that the problem is with using a global for this... when running WP from a directory, the file paths (.mp3s, images, etc) do need the WP directory in the path (site_url), but the links do not (home_url).

    Just to clarify my post above, I refer to my theme's "layout-podcast.php" template. I created this from a copy of the archive-podcast.php template included with the plugin. The "get_site_url" code is from the plugin's template.

    Thanks for this - I'll fix things accordingly and will release an update when I have some time to do so.
