    Hello,

I get a bunch of “Incorrect Column Count” error messages.

Used to be completely fine, with no issues. I did not change the tables or anything, but after an update (I presume), – these errors are on all tables.

Error message only visible in backend, and the tables on frontend work as expected.

    Error:

DataTables warning: table id=tablepress-1 – Incorrect column count. For more information about this error, please see http://datatables.net/tn/18

My tables has one column and multiple rows. Very simple with no styling or complexity.

    Any fixes?

    Thanks

    / Dennis

    Hi!

Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

I’m not sure that I understand. Where exactly are you seeing those error messages, i.e on what URL? You write that these are in the backend? That would be strange, as TablePress doesn’t load the JS file that could show this error message in the backend…

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

I have 64 tables on the site, and I see these on many tables. I see the error message in backend, when editing the page. As soon the page loads in edit mode, the error message occurs.

The table works fine in front end, though. The site visitors don’t get this.

    Hi,

Do you mean in the edit mode of the pages? Or when editing the tables themselves?

What page builder are you using?

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    Hi,

oh, sorry, missed the link to the image before my last reply, sorry.

Hhm, I’m not sure why this is happening, I haven’t seen that happen myself (but I don’t use Elementor) and I have also not seen other reports about this… Can you maybe get in touch via the yellow “Send us an email!” button at the bottom of https://tablepress.org/pricing/?

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    Hi,

an update for everybody seeing this:

We have looked at this directly found that the “ElementsKite Lite” plugin is involved here. Its integration loads JavaScript code without checking the requirements, and that causes this error message.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress in the plugin directory. Thanks!

I am also having this error, please see link that leads to pop up message for a website i help manage, error is DataTables warning: table id=tablepress-1 – Incorrect column count. For more information about this error, please see http://datatables.net/tn/18

    Hi @ioc13,

In your case, the cause is different: In column 2 of row 188 (“Vicente Almanzar”), there is a quotation mark " missing after the phone number in the URL. This is breaking the HTML structure.

Please insert that " and everything will be fine again.

In addition, please also update from the very old TablePress 2.1.2 that your site is using to the latest version 3.1.3, to also fix security problems!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
