Support » Plugin: WP Job Openings » Incorrect Breadcrumb

  • Resolved hdossary

    Hi, Thanks for the plugin.

I wanted to find out how I can change the breadcrumb on the page.

The url is correct /jobs/job-title but in the breadcrumb is completely ignores the fact that the /job-title page sits within the /jobs category. In the page title’s breadcrumb it shows as

    Home – Job Title.

    It should be:

Home – Jobs – Job Title

Is there a way to correct the job opening pages so that they correctly identify as sitting under the jobs sections?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @hdossary,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Please note that these breadcrumbs are generated by your theme, Billey, and are not related to our plugin. So this is a theme dependent functionality. Since you have disabled the jobs archive page, the theme doesn’t know the job page’s parent page. So you have to tell the theme that the job page’s parent page is the job listing page where you have applied the shortcode. So, please check with your theme that any functionality is available to customize these breadcrumbs, or you can contact the theme support for instructions to customize the breadcrumbs.

Note: Since you are a Pro user and if you need any help with any code customization regarding these breadcrumbs (For example, if you need to get the permalink for the job listing page etc.) after getting the instructions from theme support, please feel free to create a support ticket on our website.

Hi Vidya, thanks for getting back to me.

I think the better solution would be to enable the jobs archive page so the breadcrumbs automatically understands that /jobs is the parent of the job postings pages.

I’ve enabled the jobs archive page and the breadcrumb is now correct but the page title is “Archive: Job Openings”. How can i remove “Archive:”?
