• Hi all,

I’m struggling for days to understand why this happens, and I don’t know anymore what to do.
Basically, the Menu shown on the AMP version of the site, it’s not a menu I set. Actually, it’s a menu I never created.
I tried activating/moving/deleting every menu on the site, clearing every cache on mobile and pc, but still, that menu is still there.
Furthermore, if I visit the AMP site on desktop browser on the pc, it works fine, on mobile it doesn’t.

    For reference: https://www.ilsake.it/amp

    What should I do now?

    Thanks,
    Luca

  • Have you defined your own AMP header and footer menu? You can do that in the wp-admin menu settings. Otherwise if you have the amp menu set it will take the default menus.

    Hi @frenchomatic

Sure, I tried every possible combination, form 1 menu repeated in 3 positions, to 3 different menus, one per position needed, but I still continue to see the changes while using the pc and not the mobile.

Could it be something related to the user agent?

I see two different menus for the same AMP page depending upon whether you are looking at the page on desktop or mobile. You seem to have some redirection going on if I look at the page on mobile. Even if I look at the normal page on mobile it is redirecting to an AMP page (you don’t need to do that really – google will decide which page is better).

Turn mobile redirection off if it is set to on. Try de-activatiing W3 total cache and re-saving permalinks. There may be some interaction between the two plugins. It will then be easier to understand what is going on.

    @jem7
My guess is that it’s a compatibility issue with the theme.
We had the exact same issue months ago with the Newspaper theme.
Mohammed managed to fix it in one of the old updates.

    I don’t know how, but now there’s a new entry in that menu… :/

I tried deleting every menu, unpublishing those pages, removing amp plugins, and as soon as I switch on again the amp, that menu appears again, with no menus created on the site yet…

    Hi @jem7,

Could you please activate the AMP, So that I can check your issue and resolve.

    Hi @ampforwp

I activated it. Apparently, now it works.
Do you think it too? 🙂
