[Resolved] Inconsistent link to archive page

  • Hello everybody,

    Thank you so much Miguel, for your job.
    I really appreciate this plugin, finding it uniquely useful and well written.

    In my opinion, I’ve found just a little difficulty on the links created from the plugin: in my (wordpress) Permalink Settings page I’ve created a custom structure like this /news/%post_id%, but for each month of the plugin the link is always the same /news/date/2014/01 (for example clicking on a jennuary 2014 post).
    I thought the link was customizable, but it isn’t so.
    For each link of the jquery plugin, the redirected page is the default archive page linked to that kind of url.

    Is there any way to customize the default page (adding specific headers for example) or at least to customise the logic back of the link inside this plugin?

    I saw the block inside the plugin pages:

    foreach ($posts as $post) {
    $style = $expandMonth ? ‘list-item’ : ‘none’;
    $html.= “\n\t\t” . ‘<li class=”jaw_posts” style=”display:’ . $style . ‘;”>’;
    $html.= ‘ID) . ‘”>’ . $post->post_title . ‘‘;
    }

    I don’t know how to act right now and which way I have to follow: change links to plugin or change/understand/create (???) the default shown archive page and customize it.

    I just want to make the montlhy link of the plugin linking to an editable page of archive… and so on.

    Really thank you, Miguel and wordpress friends!
    Alex

  • No ideas? 😛

    I think that the plugin should link to an archive customizable page… I’m a wrong?

    Thanks for using my plugin, and to appreciate the source code. It should be easy to change the link structure, the idea is to change the code at line 388:

    $month_url = get_month_link($years[$i]->year, $month->month);

    To whatever you want, It could be something like:
    `
    $month_url = get_site_url() . '/news/date/' . $years[$i]->year .'/' . $month->month;

    Tell my if this works.
