Support » Theme: Storefront » inconsisent menu icons in widget areas

I’m not sure if this is a theme issue or a widget issue. But I’m building a storefront child theme, and I see the menu icons displaying differently in different widget areas.

When I use the Post Category or the Product Category widgets to display a list of post categories, they display a folder icon in front of the category name (with the folder being shown open when a visitor views any post in the category).

Unfortunately, the Category widgets don’t give me enough control over which categories are actually listed. So I created several menus and placed the menu widget in the footer and sidebars to display the specific categories I want. But the menu widget only shows a file icon.

How can I make the two widgets display consistently?

Also the Product Category displays differently in widget area that I’ve created than it does in the standard side bar

Hey @mesmer7 sorry for the slow response. Do you have a screenshot to share? I recommend https://snag.gy for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in thread. It works with Chrome, Firefox and IE.

Alternatively, a link to your website would help too.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
