incomplete translations v 6.5.1

    Hi,

    we’re a problem with WooCommerce 6.5.1 translations (spanish language).

    After update to the last version, WooCommerce 6.5.1 (from differents projects and versions), some strings is not showing with the correct language (spanish). They showning in english.

    The problem with these translations is mainly in the “Analytics” item menu and all the inner options, but not all strings, only some strings.

    We have tried several solutions, without results:

    · Delete po and mo file, and force check from DASHBOARD > UPDATES > The files download OK, but same result.

    · Delte po and mo files and upload manually downloaded files from https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/woocommerce/stable/es/default/ (same result).

    · Installing Loco Translate > missing translations appears as “translated”, but still showing in English.

    Hello,

    Do you see any language updates in Dashboard > Updates? If not, it may be that there is a conflict between WooCommerce and a plugin on your site. To check this, can you temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and switch theme to Storefront?

    Hi there,

    same translations issue, no plugins, only woocommerce and another Theme, any theme, even Storefront.

    In a clean project, install woocommerce, same lost translations in Analytic section.

    Hi @quetedigo,

    Thank you for trying this with all other plugins disabled and the default theme.

    It seems I could reproduce the issue you describe and all translations are up to date on my test site.

    For bugs, can you please report them and open up a new issue at GitHub? The developers use Github for issues like this one. You can open up a new bug report here:

    Hi @rainfallnixfig

    it seems that after the update the “woocommerce-xx_XX-wc-admin-app.json” file with the translation in the “/wp-content/languages/plugins/” path is deleted and is no longer regenerated.

    Could it be related to this change (https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/pull/32603) ?

    Thanks for reaching out and apologies for the delayed response.

    Indeed, it looks related to the Github issue in question. Thanks for sharing with us the pull request.

    @quetedigo from what I read on the thread the fix was supposed to be released with core 6.5.0 milestone but it seems that there are still broken translations in version 6.5.1.

    Can I get you to open a new issue or post a comment in the Github pull request below so that developers can actually confirm if the issue was resolved?

    Thanks for the reply. I hope I’ve given the developers a starting point for testing.

    Is there a “woocommerce-es_ES-wc-admin-app.json” file in your WordPress installation at “/wp-content/languages/plugins/”? If not, could you get it from a pre-update installation and place it there? At least this way you get most of the translation until the next update.
