  • Resolved Branch

Like many others, my email notifications stopped when I upgraded to 2.3.1. I tried the no-sender.php plugin, and that gave me partial emails; the Subject and Content were both blank, but the rest came through. Then I tried adding a email address, and, once I de-activated the no-sender plugin, that also gave me partial emails. (With both running, I didn’t get anything.)

I am at a loss what to do about this. I have looked over pluggable.php and the mail function and everything seems to be in place. Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Further experimentation shows that it is only the comments made by logged in users that are incomplete. Those miss the Subject line and the section of the body that lists Author, E-mail, URI, Whois and Comment.

I’ve tried this with both the default theme and my own theme, so it doesn’t seem to be any of the modifications in the comments.php that are the problem. I’ve tried it in Kubrik without my comment-related plugins, too, and the logged-in-notifications are still incomplete.

Ha! Found the problem, and it’s in the OpenID plugin!

…bugger. The new one doesn’t work on my server. Well, at least I know what the issue is.

Well, heck. I was excited when I saw the heading and the issue resolved. I don’t use the OpenID plugin, so I guess I’ll keep hunting…
