Doesn’t allow you to assign a theme to a whole blog category. You can either assign a theme to an individual page, or to a URL prefix. It is not possible to assign a theme to a whole blog category without manually applying it to each post.

  • The FAQ explains how to “assign a theme to a whole blog category”.

See “How do I select a Theme for a Category of Posts?” on

To date, whenever I’ve explained this alternative, no one has asked me to add a new Setting for Categories.

Since I’m trying to add this plugin to an existing site, changing all of my existing permalinks would hurt SEO. I supposed I could manually create a bunch of redirects, but that’s not really a practical solution. Especially since the current permalink structure was intentionally chosen and it wouldn’t make sense to change it site-wide just to make some certain categories use a different theme.

Another thing that this plugin is lacking (and to be fair, all multi-theme plugins I’ve seen are lacking this) is that it’s not possible (or at least not easy) to change options (such as menus, etc) for a category theme.
