Incompatible with WooCommerce Free Gift Coupons

I’m the author of WooCommerce Free Gift Coupons. When a coupon is entered, a product is added to the cart. This product is free and the price should always be zero. However, a mutual customer has found that when your plugin is enabled, the price is not zero. Typically this happens when dynamic/rule-based pricing plugins try to determine the discount from the database price and not from the price of the product object associated with cart item… $cart_item['data']

Is there a way you can exclude products from the rules? And/or check if the product is already 0 and therefore not in need of any further discounts?
