I’m using the Amazon Web Services plugins (https://wordpress.org/plugins/amazon-web-services/) and I installed External Media and connected it to google drive.

Upon the first image I attempted to import from google drive, the media database is corrupt. PHP logs: “Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array” in media.php.

Can you offer any help? Pretty disappointing that this plugin took down our wordpress DB. Had to restore from a backup to get up and running again.

    Thanks!

Thank you for contacting me first instead of writing negative review. Reports like your help me better understand different problems.

Sure, I am here to help you, would you mind sending me the full list of plugins you have installed on your website? There is a possibility that AWS plugin is changing Media component and changing the logic of how it behaves. I have to take a look and see if I can make External Media plugin work with AWS.

There are thousands of plugins and there is no way I can install all of them and see if my plugins breaks anything.

As a developer I highly recommend to try install new plugins on staging or development sites first instead of trying to enable it on live.

Please also note I am full-time developer and I have day job and may not respond very fast.

    Thanks,

    Minnur
