I have it setup and it seems to process messages sent to an office365 mail box perfect, except that ANYONE can send messages that become a post. I have limited the authorized senders to just one address, yet anyone can post.

Be sure to check the “Allow Anyone To Post Via Email” setting.
Also email from unknown users does create a post, but sets the status to “draft” so you can review them.

    Wayne,
That is not currently the action that my installation is doing. I have checked and unchecked “Allow Anyone To Post Via Email” setting box, however, it does not seem to make any difference. I am using the plugin in “Curl” mode, and have set the default poster to another user within the system. I have had multiple people “test” it for me (addresses not on the list), and in every event, they are able to create an “active” post on the site. I have found that the messages may not be picked up on the first attempt (due to matching), however, subsequent pickups from the mailbox seem to be picked up normally, then processed and posted.

    Wayne,
Now, the problem has changed a little. Now, everyone (including the users in the right groups) can post, but its in DRAFT status. I have now manipulated every field on the “Users” tab of Postie. What am I missing?

Please install the support addon and run a test where the email isn’t correctly imported and send the logs to help@postieplugin.com

Please be sure to follow the setup instructions.

Ok, I switched over to sockets instead of Curl and now everything is working.
