Including php in static php files

  • I have some static .html pages that I will convert to .php files. My question is how to include the header and footer and other php elements from the main wordpress theme in these files?
The pages would be something like domainname.com/content1.php, domainname.com/content2.php

Is there any way to do this?

Thank you in advance for your help
    Tim

  • Just to clarify, I am trying to include the header.php and footer.php files that are part of the wordpress blog in static php files that will exist outside of the blog structure. Essentially, I am bulk creating these static php files and when I ftp them into the root directory, I would like the header and footer to be the same as the blog. If you haven’t guessed already, I am a complete noob at php.

    Thanks,
    Tim
