• I am very new to WordPress. I have set up a widget with a page navigation on it but it shows all of the pages that I have created on that menu and the only way to tailor this seems to be to exclude pages from showing. That means that every time I create a page I would have to exclude that page. The logical thing would be to set an include option for that menu, is that possible?? If it can’t be done automatically is there a plug in for that kind of functionality? I have searched and searched but I can’t find what I need. I may be looking for the wrong thing of course!!

Hey @willapip, instead of the pages widget, there’s a menu widget you can use instead. You’ll want to create your menu first either in the Menus admin screen or the Customizer, and name it something like “widget.”

Then, add the “Navigation Menu” widget to your widget area. Your new menu will be included in the list of menus available.

Let me know if this helps or if you get stuck!

Hi @melchoyce, thank you so much. Makes total sense now and that works perfectly!! I live and learn – thank you 🙂
