Include RSS Feed

  • If I have an RSS feed, with say, a daily quote or fact or verse, that I would like to include onto my index.php main page, on the side, for example…how would/could I do that?
I did a search on this topic to no avail.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sandman

  • You just need to parse and style the RSS feed. Currently there is no way to do that built in to WP, it is being worked on for later inclusion.
There are a couple of ways that you can accomplish this, but the best by far is MagpieRSS (which is being massaged into WP), you can find it here:
    http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/
It is pretty easy to incorporate, and the syntax is pretty straightforward.

I have tried Magpie, which I could not get to work. The documentation that comes with it fails to clearly state as to how I can use it.
    Any other thoughts?
    I am at a loss.
