Include "By author Name" in blog posts

    When I do posts it only displays the date and time but why not the author byline. Why not and is there a way to change this?

    Do you have any code examples. make sure to use something like pastebin for long snippets

    Not sure what code you would need. I am surprised that there is not an option in settings to include a byline. Does wordpress normally do this and maybe it is my theme that does not have this option? I am using Flexibility 3 theme.
